Ambassador of Syria presented credentials to President Alvi

The President extended heartfelt best wishes to President Bashar al-Assad. He also hoped for security, peace, and stability in Syria.

Islamabad, 23 December 2022 (GNP): Ramez Alraee, the Ambassador of Syria to Pakistan, presented the credentials to Arif Alvi, the president of Pakistan.

At the Presentation of Credentials Ceremony conducted at Aiwan-e-Sadar in Islamabad, the credentials were accepted.

Communication between President Alvi and Ambassador

The President gave President Bashar al-Assad his sincere greetings while accepting the letter of credence from the Syrian Ambassador. He also wished for stability, security, and peace in Syria.

According to Alvi, the basis of the bilateral relationship between Pakistan and Syria is respect for one another. There are several chances to enhance them throughout numerous fields.

The President emphasized that the appointment of an accredited Syrian ambassador to Pakistan represents the apex of the two countries and peoples’ efforts to develop bilateral relations.

He said that there are intricate and long-standing ties between Pakistan and Syria and that the common history, religion, and culture of the two peoples binds them together.

He applauded the airlines of both countries for deciding to operate nonstop flights between Karachi and Damascus, and he recognized the Syrian government for its kind gesture in providing group visas to Pakistani Zaireen.

President Alvi and the cordial Pakistani people received pleasantries from President Al-Assad during Ambassador Ramez’s turn. He longed for greater stability, harmony, growth, and prosperity for the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

Highlights from Credential Ceremony

During the Presentation of Credentials Ceremony, the newly appointed envoys of Canada, Austria, Syria, Serbia, and the Slovak Republic handed President Arif Alvi their credentials. The ceremony was conducted at Aiwan-e-Sadr on December 20, 2022.

Leslie Scanlon, the High Commissioner-designate for Canada, Andrea Wicke, Ramez Alraee, the ambassador-designate for Austria, and the non-resident ambassadors-designates for Serbia and the Slovak Republic, Dragan Todorovic and Ladislav Ballek, also called the President separately afterward.
