According to the EU, the funding for 2021 will enable crucial humanitarian assistance to the most vulnerable ones. It includes war, forced displacement, and natural disaster victims. Emergency health care, shelter, food assistance, access to clean water, and sanitation facilities. Along with numerous protective services for women and children are all part of the interventions.

EU says that the food insecurity and health issues connected to the spring drought, war, and COVID-19 are also being addressed with aid. The funds will continue to support COVID-19 patients and prevent the virus from spreading further.
