Washington (GNP) :- Chairman Pakistan Caucus in the US Congress, Tom Suozzi says Pakistan is bearing the burden of saving the world from terrorism alone, which should be acknowledged.
Addressing a joint press conference along with Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States Rizwan Saeed Shaikh, he expressed a strong desire for robust Pakistan-US ties and called for increased American investment in Pakistan.
Tom Suozzi acknowledged Pakistan’s critical role as a mediator in the ongoing US-Iran conflict, given its friendly ties with both parties.
In his remarks, Ambassador Rizwan Saeed Shaikh said Pakistan remains a frontline state in the global war on terror and continues to be the country most affected by its consequences.
He pointed out that the Pakistani people are paying a heavy price due to terrorism emanating from Afghanistan.
