
Chairman NDMA’s Special message on National Resilience Day
Islamabad : Chairman NDMA Lt Gen Inam Haider Malik delivered a special message on the occasion of National Resilience Day. 8th October reminds us the 2005 earthquake and other disasters: Chairman NDMA . The purpose of this day is to highlight the national capacity and commitment to deal with disasters. Experiences gained from all disasters between 2005 and 2025 continue to guide us: Chairman NDMA
Chairman NDMA paid tribute to all volunteers, emergency responders and institutions. The people of Pakistan have demonstrated unity and a spirit of compassion in every disaster, proving that we are a resilient nation. NDMA’s early warning system has reached international standards, said Chairman NDMA. Information related to disasters is now reaching the public and concerned institutions timely, Chairman NDMA noted.
Chairman NDMA said that NDMA is in coordination with federal and provincial institutions, Armed Forces, and international partners. Pakistan is establishing a National Resource Network to deal with disasters.
Chairman NDMA emphasized the need for sharing experiences related to disaster management. Chairman NDMA thanked the Pakistan Armed Forces, NGOs, INGOs, welfare organizations, and volunteers for their contributions. The purpose of National Resilience Day is to move toward a stronger and resilient Pakistan.
