Islamabad, 1 August 2022 (GNP): Pakistan Army commemorated the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the establishment of the People’s Liberation Army.
Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa attended the event as the chief guest. The Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan, Nong Rong, also attended the commemoration event.
The Ambassador of China to Pakistan, Nong Rong, recorded a message on the occasion. His message was shared by Zheng Heqin, the Counsellor and Director of Culture, tourism, and arts.

He said, “On the occasion of 95th anniversary of the establishment of PLA, I would like to express my special thanks to General Bajwa to have this event. I wish military to military relationship between China and Pakistan have a bright future.”
China’s armed forces, known as the PLA, were founded on 1 August 1927 as the military wing of the Chinese Communist Party. The PLA played a central part in the Chinese Civil War and the Sino-Japanese War in the early 20th century. The successes of the PLA in the Chinese Civil War led to the establishment of the People’s Republic of China in 1949. Since then, the PLA has modernized and is now the largest and one of the strongest armies in the world.
China-Pakistan Ties
Moreover, Pakistan and China maintain excellent military relations. Military ties between the two countries have improved over the years. In addition, China is one of the largest sources of military hardware and military technology for Pakistan’s armed forces.
Bilateral military ties are part of the special relationship between the two countries, which covers sectors such as economy and trade, education, people-to-people ties, and political relations. Both countries cooperate in all areas of mutual interest and have supported each other. Bilateral relations and connectivity have deepened since the launch of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor in 2013.
