Telenor, BU partner to launch a faculty placement program

Islamabad –: Telenor Pakistan, in collaboration with Bahria University (BU), has launched an innovative Faculty Placement Program, marking a strategic step towards bridging the gap between academic theory and industry practice. This six-week program aims to foster meaningful, two-way knowledge exchange, strengthening ties between academia and the corporate sector.

Through the program, BU faculty members will work alongside various teams at Telenor Pakistan, gaining hands-on exposure to business strategy, emerging technologies and modern organizational operations. In parallel, Telenor teams will benefit from the academic expertise, research capabilities, and fresh perspectives that faculty members bring to the table.

Areej Khan, Chief People Officer at Telenor Pakistan, highlighted the significance of the collaboration: “This partnership between academia and industry is a crucial step toward developing future-ready talent. By equipping educators with real-world experience, we’re enabling them to better prepare students with the skills, agility, and mindset needed to succeed in an ever-evolving digital landscape.”

The Faculty Placement Program reinforces Telenor Pakistan’s broader commitment to building a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and inclusive development. It also aligns with the company’s vision of accelerating Pakistan’s digital transformation—through impactful partnerships that drive shared progress.
