Information Group plays key role in connecting govt and public, ED

Passing Out Ceremony of Information Group Officers Held at Information Service Academy

Islamabad: — A graceful passing out ceremony was held at the Information Service Academy (ISA), for the officers of the Information Group who successfully completed the 43rd Mid-Career Management Course (MCMC). The training is a mandatory requirement for promotion to Grade-19 under the Civil Services of Pakistan.

The ceremony was graced by Imrana Wazir, Executive Director General of the Information Service Academy, as the chief guest.
In her address, she emphasized the critical role of the Information Group in bridging the gap between government and the public through effective communication and responsible media engagement. She appreciated the officers’ dedication during the training and encouraged them to continue striving for professional excellence in public service.

The 43rd MCMC comprised 10 weeks of foundational training at the National Institute of Public Administration (NIPA), followed by 4 weeks of specialized training at the Information Service Academy, focusing on public communication, media strategy, digital transformation, and governance in the information age.

The event was also attended by senior officials of the Academy, Ambreen Gul Shahid, Director General, Mehreen Liaquat, Director and Adnan Akram Bajwa, Director

During the ceremony, certificates and shields were distributed among the participant officers in recognition of their successful completion of the course. The officers who participated included, Muhammad Afzal Kolachi, Imdad Ali, Shazim Akhtar, Saba Yasir, Attequr-Rehman, Hussain Ahmed Wasir and Hammad ur Rehman Qaisar

The Executive Director General congratulated all participants and expressed confidence that they would serve the country with renewed commitment, enhanced skills, and integrity, strengthening the state’s communication narrative both domestically and internationally.

The Information Service Academy continues to play a pivotal role in training and developing officers of the Information Group, equipping them to navigate the evolving challenges in media, governance, and public communication.
