Federal ministers to boost cooperation on heritage and education

Islamabad : — Federal Minister for Science and Technology, Khalid Hussain Magsi, held a productive meeting with Federal Minister for National Heritage and Culture, Aurangzeb Khan Khichi, to explore enhanced cooperation between their ministries. The focus of the meeting was the preservation of national heritage and the promotion of educational collaboration through innovative approaches.

Both federal ministers emphasized the critical importance of protecting Pakistan’s cultural and historical legacy, recognizing it as a cornerstone of national identity. They agreed on the need to adopt evolving tools and modern techniques to document, conserve, and promote the country’s diverse heritage. Federal Minister Aurangzeb Khan Khichi highlighted that preserving heritage is not only about safeguarding the past but also about educating future generations and fostering national unity.

The meeting also discussed potential pathways for developing interdisciplinary educational programs that integrate science, technology, history, and the arts. Both ministries committed to launching joint educational initiatives aimed at instilling a deeper appreciation for heritage among youth while nurturing scientific inquiry and innovation.

To ensure effective coordination, a joint working group will be established to identify actionable projects, facilitate ongoing dialogue, and oversee implementation efforts. This collaboration reflects the Government of Pakistan’s commitment to integrating technology and culture in building a progressive, informed society grounded in its rich heritage.
