Hurriyat Delegation Meets Senator Sherry, Lauds PPP’s Consistent Advocacy for Kashmir
Karachi : Vice President of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Senator Sherry Rehman met with a delegation of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference. The delegation thanked the PPP for its unwavering and historic support for the Kashmir cause across all political eras and forums—both national and international.
During the meeting, the Hurriyat leaders praised the consistent role played by the PPP in advocating for the fundamental rights of the Kashmiri people and keeping the issue alive on global platforms. They paid tribute to the diplomatic achievements of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, particularly in the recent international forums, where Pakistan’s delegation, under his leadership, successfully countered India’s narrative on Kashmir.
The delegation conveyed congratulations to Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and other PPP representatives for their impactful global advocacy and for voicing the aspirations of the Kashmiri people with clarity and conviction. “The battle of narratives on Kashmir was won by Pakistan, and that victory was led by Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari,” said members of the delegation.
Senator Sherry Rehman reaffirmed the PPP’s unwavering commitment to the Kashmiri people, stating,
“Kashmir is not just a territorial dispute; it is a humanitarian issue rooted in the right to self-determination. The PPP has always stood with the people of Kashmir, and will continue to do so at every forum, in every government, and in every generation. We are proud of the legacy of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, who made Kashmir a central pillar of Pakistan’s foreign policy. Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is carrying forward that torch with vision and courage.”
The Hurriyat delegation also briefed Senator Rehman on their ongoing political struggle, the challenges faced by Kashmiris under Indian occupation, and the need for continued international awareness and solidarity.
The delegation concluded by emphasizing that the Kashmiri diaspora and political leadership have always looked to the Pakistan Peoples Party as a reliable and consistent voice for their cause.
