Pak- Malaysia valued expert exchange and training in arts and culture

Courtesy Call on the Federal Minister of Heritage and Culture

Islamabad :   Mohd Syafik Firdaus, Deputy Head of Mission, paid a courtesy call on Aurangzeb Khan Khichi, Federal Minister of Heritage and Culture. The meeting was held in a cordial and constructive atmosphere, reflecting the warm and longstanding ties between the two countries.

During the meeting, both sides engaged in meaningful discussions aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation in the fields of heritage, arts, and culture. Among the key topics deliberated was the promotion of close cooperative relations between the cultural institutions of both nations. It was agreed that fostering institutional linkages and collaborative frameworks between museums, cultural centres, and heritage organisations would contribute significantly to the preservation and celebration of the rich cultural legacies of both countries.

The enhancement of cultural activities, particularly in the areas of performing arts and visual arts, also featured prominently in the dialogue. Both parties acknowledged the vital role of cultural expression in strengthening people-to-people ties and mutual understanding. They expressed interest in organising joint exhibitions, cultural festivals, and artistic performances as a means to showcase the diverse artistic traditions of their respective countries.

Furthermore, the importance of education and training in the cultural arts was underscored. Both sides recognised the value of capacity building through the exchange of experts and training programmes for personnel in the arts and cultural sectors.

The courtesy call concluded with a shared commitment to translating these discussions into practical initiatives and collaborative programmes. Mr. Mohd Syafik  and His Excellency Mr. Aurangzeb expressed optimism that strengthened cultural cooperation would serve as a meaningful pillar of the broader bilateral relationship.
