Japan Announces Logo Design Competition for Pakistan Ties Anniversary

Islamabad (GNP): Japan has opened a digital logo design competition to mark the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations with Pakistan, which falls in 2027. Citizens of both countries are invited to take part.

The competition looks for an original logo that reflects the friendship, partnership and close ties between Japan and Pakistan. It is meant to celebrate the bond the two countries have built over the decades.

The winning design will become the official logo of the anniversary. It will appear on events and activities commemorating the milestone throughout the year.

Participation is open to people of any age, wherever they live in the world. Each entrant must submit an original logo that represents the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Entries must reach the organisers by 23 October 2026. The result is expected on the website of Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) around late December 2026.

Designs must be submitted in JPEG, PDF or EPS format by email, with the subject line “Logo Entry”. They go to the Southwest Asian Division of MOFA at japanpakistan75@mofa.go.jp. Each entry needs a separate explanation of the design, of approximately 80 words.

Strict conditions apply to every submission. The design must be original, previously unpublished and free of any third-party copyright infringement. The use of generative AI in logo designs is not permitted.

Entries will also be disqualified if they contain offensive, unlawful, commercial or otherwise inappropriate content. The same applies to content that is politically or religiously promotional, or culturally or socially insensitive.

Complete guidelines are available on the Pakistan page of the MOFA website at https://www.mofa.go.jp/region/asia-paci/pakistan/index.html. Prospective participants should read them before preparing their entries.
