New York (GNP): Federal Minister for Board of Investment Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh attended the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly UNGA) as part of the Pakistani delegation.
Federal Minister Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh was present in the General Assembly Hall along with other members of the Pakistani delegation in the designated seats for Pakistan. The delegation included Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Chairman Kashmir Committee Rana Qasim Noon and other senior officials.
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif addressed the General Assembly and presented Pakistan’s perspective on key global and regional issues, including international and regional peace, diplomacy, sustainable development, climate change, terrorism, global economic challenges and other matters of international importance.

The participation of Federal Minister Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh in the high-level session of the General Assembly formed an important part of Pakistan’s engagements in New York and provided an opportunity to highlight Pakistan’s economic and investment priorities at the international level.
