RAWALPINDI: On the directions of the Director General, Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA), Kinza Murtaza the RDA Enforcement Squad has intensified its ongoing anti-encroachment efforts across the city.
The Enforcement Squad carried out an operation to remove illegal encroachments in the Civil Lines Housing Scheme. During the operation, the squad vacated and taken possession of seven marla Plot Nos. 3 and 4, and demolished an illegally constructed wall. This action is part of the RDA’s ongoing efforts to ensure proper land management and maintain the integrity of urban development within the region.

The action against this private housing scheme was taken after it failed to comply with repeated instructions from the authority to submit the required Transfer Deed and Mortgage Deed, key legal documents necessary for lawful operation and registration.
Despite several notices and opportunities provided by the RDA, the developers did not fulfill the legal formalities, prompting decisive enforcement action in accordance with applicable regulations.
The DG RDA, Kinza Murtaza has directed the Estate Management Wing of the RDA to take swift and decisive actions against encroachments in the RDA’s jurisdiction. The RDA remains committed to eliminating illegal land use to preserve the integrity of these areas and to support the continued development of Rawalpindi.
The operations were led by the Deputy Director Estate Management Masood Arshad, Deputy Director Land Muhammad Saleem, Assistant Director Land Dilshad Ali, Assistant Director Engineering Aslam Shah, Assistant Director Estate Management Muhammad Shoaib Khan, Inspector Planning Muhammad Tariq, Sub Engineer Muhammad Naeem Hashmi, Sub Engineer Habibur Rahman among other team members. They played a pivotal role in executing the clearance successfully.
