Islamabad (GNP): Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised security forces for successfully carrying out an intelligence-based operation in Panjgur, Balochistan, as part of Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3, resulting in the deaths of five militants, including their leader.
Naqvi commended the professionalism of the security personnel involved, saying the operation had significantly disrupted militant activities in the region. He described the personnel involved as a source of national pride, noting their continued sacrifices in the fight to restore peace in Balochistan.
He said the operation reflects the security forces’ preparedness and sustained commitment to counterterrorism efforts, stressing that eliminating militant networks remains essential to achieving lasting stability in Balochistan and the wider country. Naqvi said the militants’ plans had been effectively thwarted and reaffirmed that the nation stands firmly behind the personnel engaged in this ongoing fight.
He described Pakistan’s fight against terrorism as a shared national responsibility, reaffirming that the government and the public remain united in supporting security forces in their efforts to dismantle terrorist networks and restore peace across the country.
Operation Details
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces carried out the intelligence-based operation against militants from the group identified as Fitna al-Hindustan in the Sarkani and Chedgi areas of Panjgur, killing five fighters, including a key commander known as Wazir.

Officials said four motorcycles, machine guns, and other weapons and ammunition were recovered from the militants during the operation. According to the ISPR, those killed had been involved in robbery, extortion, kidnapping, and other criminal and militant activity targeting local traders and residents in the Panjgur area.
