Islamabad, Chairman Senate, Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, attended an Iftar dinner hosted last evening by the Ambassador of the Saudi Arabia to Pakistan, Nawaf bin Saeed Ahmad Al-Malkiy. The event was graced by a large number of prominent political, diplomatic, and social figures.
Among the distinguished attendees were Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan, Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi, Governor Sindh Kamran Tessori, Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, Senator Muhammad Talha Mahmood, Advisor to the Prime Minister on Political Affairs Senator Rana Sanaullah Khan, Minister of State for Interior Muhammad Tallal Badar, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, Member of the National Assembly Khurram Dastgir Khan, along with parliamentarians, diplomats, senior bureaucrats, journalists, leading business personalities, investors, and members of the trade community.
During the Iftar, Chairman Senate and the Saudi Ambassador discussed in detail the Pakistan–Saudi bilateral relations, regional and global situation, challenges faced by the Muslim Ummah, and avenues for enhancing cooperation across various sectors. Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening the historic, deep-rooted, and brotherly ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and to expanding cooperation into new dimensions.
Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani conveyed his best wishes for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and emphasized that Pakistan holds its relationship with Saudi Arabia in the highest esteem. He noted that the religious, cultural, and strategic bonds between the two countries continue to grow stronger over time, reflecting mutual trust and solidarity.
Ambassador Nawaf bin Saeed Ahmad Al-Malkiy stated that Saudi Arabia attaches special importance to its relations with Pakistan. He reiterated that the two brotherly nations have consistently supported each other’s positions and expressed confidence that this cooperation will continue to expand in the future.
