Pakistan deepens international youth-focused partnerships

Chairman Prime Minister’s Youth Programme Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan Met with Foreign Delegations from Maldives, Uzbekistan, and Azerbaijan

Islamabad :-  Chairman Prime Minister’s Youth Programme (PMYP) Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan held a series of high-level meetings with visiting foreign delegations from the Maldives, Uzbekistan, and Azerbaijan, focusing on strengthening international cooperation in youth empowerment, digital transformation, education, and innovation. Amnah Batool, Member of National Assembly and Focal Person of PMYP, was also present during these meetings. The engagements highlighted Pakistan’s commitment to collaborative partnerships aimed at equipping young people with future-ready skills and expanding opportunities for regional youth development.

In his meeting with the delegation from the Maldives, led by Hon. Ali Samaan, State Minister at the Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Information and Arts, the Chairman warmly welcomed the delegation and appreciated the Maldives’ progress in youth development initiatives. Discussions focused on institutional collaboration, including cooperation on youth related initiatives, and both sides expressed keen interest in formalizing partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Maldives Youth Ministry and the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme.

During his meeting with delegation form Uzbekistan, led by Hon. Khasankhon Yusupkhodjaev, Advisor on Artificial Intelligence to the Director of the Youth Affairs Agency of Uzbekistan, both sides discussed emerging opportunities in artificial intelligence, digital innovation, and youth-focused technology collaboration. The Uzbek delegation appreciated Pakistan’s successful organization of AI-focused conferences and engagements, particularly the major national initiative Indus AI-Week 2026, and highlighted the strengthening friendship between the two countries. Hon. Khasankhon Yusupkhodjaev also expressed satisfaction with his visit to Pakistan, shared that Uzbekistan is actively working to digitally equip its youth with modern technological and AI-driven skills, and emphasized the importance of continued bilateral cooperation in AI-based youth empowerment and innovation initiatives.

In a separate engagement with the delegation of Azerbaijan, led by Hon. Farhad Hajiyev, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan, discussions centered on youth cooperation, academic exchange, higher education linkages, and joint initiatives for digitally empowering young populations. The Azerbaijani side highlighted that Azerbaijan is also actively working to digitally equip its youth with modern technological and artificial intelligence-driven skills, reflecting a shared vision with Pakistan. The delegation extended an invitation to Chairman Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan to visit Azerbaijan for further institutional collaboration. The Chairman emphasized that Pakistan is likewise committed to digitally empowering its youth through artificial intelligence, innovation, and technology-focused programmes.

These meetings reaffirmed Pakistan’s growing engagement with international partners in advancing youth-centric cooperation, knowledge exchange, and digital capacity-building. The outcomes are expected to pave the way for structured partnerships, formal agreements, and collaborative initiatives that will strengthen opportunities for young people across the region.
