Govt pledges top-quality facilities for rail passengers, Hanif Abbasi

Islamabad :  Federal Minister for Railways, Muhammad Hanif Abbasi, made a surprise visit to Margalla Railway Station, where he conducted a comprehensive inspection of cleanliness, passenger facilities, and overall services being provided at the station.

The minister began his visit by thoroughly reviewing the station’s cleanliness arrangements. He expressed complete satisfaction with the hygiene standards and instructed the staff to maintain the high level of cleanliness, noting that it is crucial not only for the health of passengers but also for the reputation of Pakistan Railways.

Abbasi inspected trains stationed at the platform. He personally entered several coaches to assess the onboard facilities, cleanliness, comfort, and safety measures. He interacted with the train staff, discussing the quality of services and solutions to issues faced by passengers.

The minister also engaged directly with passengers to hear their complaints, feedback, and suggestions. He emphasized that the government is making every possible effort to ensure that passengers traveling by rail receive the best possible facilities and services.

Margalla Railway Station’s management briefed the minister on ongoing development projects aimed at improving the station’s infrastructure and passenger experience. Minister Abbasi stressed the timely completion of these projects to provide high-quality and comfortable travel experiences to the public.

The purpose of the minister’s surprise visit was to evaluate the ground realities and reinforce the government’s commitment to modernizing railway services and restoring public trust. He reiterated his vision to make Pakistan Railways a reliable and preferred mode of transportation across the country.

Looking ahead, the minister announced that recreational facilities would soon be introduced at Margalla Station. Plans are also under consideration to establish themed restaurants at the station, aiming to create a more enjoyable and convenient environment for passengers.

Minister Hanif Abbasi concluded his visit by reaffirming the government’s dedication to continuous improvement in railway services and infrastructure development for the benefit of all citizens.
