Islamabad : Around the celebration week of International Migrants Day, IOM engaged with the Civil Society Alliance on Migration (C-SAM), bringing together civil society leaders and UN colleagues to reflect on migration governance in Pakistan through a human mobility lens with an aim to explore more opportunities of shared learning and continued collaboration.
During this strategic engagement in Islamabad, Mio Sato, Chief of Mission, IOM Pakistan, emphasized the importance of approaching migration through a 360-degree human mobility framework grounded in rights, evidence, and community trust.
The dialogue reaffirmed the critical role of civil society as frontline actors, highlighted the value of coordination beyond project cycles, and underscored the need for sustained, collective partnerships that connect communities with policy processes to advance inclusive, whole-of-society migration governance in Pakistan.
