
Turk Maarif International and Turkish Maarif Foundation Host the Closing Ceremony of Turkish National Week
Islamabad : Turkish Ambassador to Pakistan, Irfan Naziroglu, delivered a speech highlighting the deep-rooted friendship between Turkey and Pakistan.
Ambassador Naziroglu expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for celebrating Turkey’s National Day in Islamabad, noting the display of Turkish flags and portraits of President Erdogan across the capital.

He recalled that Turkey achieved freedom under the leadership of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk and acknowledged the support of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Allama Iqbal, and the Johar brothers during the Turkish independence movement.
The ambassador also shared that many students of Pak-Turk Maarif School have received scholarships, and Turkish universities continue to offer educational opportunities to Pakistani students. He announced that a new branch of Maarif School will soon be established in Azad Kashmir, crediting Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Erdogan for their support.
102nd Turkish Republic Day was celebrated with great splendour and enthusiasm at the
Convention Centre in an event that marked the Closing Ceremony of the 5-day Turkish National Week celebrations, initiated and overseen directly by Prime Minister.

The grand event was hosted by the Turkish Maarif Foundation and Pak-Turk Maarif International Schools & Colleges, in collaboration with the Turkish Embassy in Islamabadand the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme (PMYP).
The ceremony was graced by Chief Guest İrfan Neziroğlu, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Pakistan. Many dignitaries were also present, alongside representatives of foreign governments, members of their diplomatic missions, senior officials, and organizational leaders from across Islamabad.
More than 2,500 participants attended the event, reflecting the deep affection and shared
pride that bind the people of Pakistan and Türkiye.
The evening featured a series of captivating stage performances and cultural showcases by the talented students of Pak-Turk Maarif International Schools & Colleges. Through theatrical performances, folk dances, oratorios, and musical tributes, the students beautifully portrayed the themes of unity, cultural harmony, and the brotherhood that
transcends borders.
The performances celebrated the legacy of the Turkish Republic and
the historic bond that continues to strengthen ties between the two nations.
Speaking at the event, the dignitaries praised the invaluable contributions of the Turkish Maarif Foundation and Pak-Turk Maarif International Schools & Colleges in strengthening people-to-people ties and nurturing generations of students who embody the values of friendship, respect, and global understanding.
The celebration concluded with a strong message of solidarity, emphasizing that the bond between Pakistan and Türkiye, rooted in faith, friendship, and mutual respect, will continue to grow stronger with every passing year.
