Pakistan committed to extending all possible facilitation to foreign investors, Tarar

Canadian High Commissioner Calls on Federal Minister for Law and Justice

Islamabad:-   High Commissioner of Canada to Pakistan, Tariq Ali Khan, called on the Federal Minister for Law and Justice, Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar.

The Federal Minister warmly welcomed the newly appointed High Commissioner and expressed Pakistan’s desire to further strengthen the longstanding bilateral relations between the two countries.

During the meeting, matters of mutual interest were discussed in detail, particularly focusing on legal reforms, rule of law, human rights, and investment opportunities.

The Canadian High Commissioner informed the Minister that several Canadian companies are interested in investing in Pakistan, especially in the mining sectors. Both sides also discussed prospects for future collaboration and partnership.

Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar reaffirmed that the Government of Pakistan is committed to extending all possible facilitation to foreign investors. He also apprised the High Commissioner of the launch of the Case Management System, adding that the Ministry of Law and Justice is working to extend this system to provincial levels to further enhance judicial efficiency.

The meeting also included discussions regarding the upcoming Mining Conference scheduled to be held in Canada.
