Islamabad, 27 February 2023 (GNP): On Monday, the people of Pakistan commemorate the fourth anniversary of Operation Swift Retort to honor the nation’s armed forces, who on this day in 2019 responded appropriately to India’s failed misadventure and downed their two fighter jets, the MiG-21 and Su-30.

In a statement, the military leadership praised the nation’s fortitude and the military’s tenacity throughout Operation Swift Retort.
Major General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, the Director General of ISPR, wrote in a tweet that India organized the false-flag Pulwama attack on a bogus target in Pakistan, but that Pakistan’s brave, determined, and cool response foiled their evil plans.

Let this day serve as a reminder that, although being a nation that values peace, the Pakistan Armed Forces are always prepared to protect the entirety of the homeland and, should aggression ever be imposed upon us, to retaliate against the aggressor.
Any illusion that leads to a misadventure, according to the DG ISPR, would always be faced with the entire force of the Pakistani Military Forces, supported by a strong nation.
According to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the country is praising the Pakistan Air Force for its appropriate response to India’s breach of Pakistan’s airspace under the pretense of the fake Pulwama incident.
Regarding Operation Swift Retort, he stated in a tweet today that while we seek world peace, we are cognizant of our duty to protect the nation. Let there be no misunderstanding about it, he said.
