Islamabad (GNP) :- Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, Chairman Senate of Pakistan, has extended warm greetings to His Eminence Mojtaba Khamenei as the new Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran. He conveyed his heartfelt wishes and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to further strengthening the longstanding fraternal ties between the two countries.
The Chairman Senate further stated that the Parliament, Government, and people of Pakistan extend their sincere felicitations to His Eminence Mojtaba Khamenei. He emphasized that Pakistan and Iran share deep-rooted bonds of faith, culture, history and language, which provide a strong foundation for expanding cooperation across diverse sectors.
Chairman Senate also expressed profound grief and sorrow over the martyrdom of Ayatollah Khamenei and conveyed heartfelt condolences to the leadership and people of Iran on behalf of the Government of Pakistan.
