Ethiopiaโ€“ILO review cooperation on HR development, industrial ties

Islamabad (GNP) :- Dr. Oumer Hussien Oba, Ambassador of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to Pakistan, received Geir T. Tonstol, Country Director of the International Labour Organization (ILO), at the Ethiopian Embassy.

The two officials exchanged views on matters of mutual interest, focusing on the ongoing bilateral cooperation between Ethiopia and the ILO across various areas such as human resource development and industrial relations.

Ambassador Oumer briefed the Country Director on Ethiopiaโ€™s pivotal role in fostering regional peace, security services, and integration through diplomacy, large-scale infrastructure projects, aviation, and rail networks.

The ILO Country Director commended Ethiopia’s progress and underscored the ILOโ€™s continued role in enhancing workplace environment and industrial standards.

He recalled his stay in Ethiopia while appreciating rapid development, rich culture and impressive tourism.
