Islamabad: — President Asif Ali Zardari has conveyed his best wishes to the government and people of Bangladesh as over 127 million voters head to the polls today to elect representatives to 300 seats in the National Parliament.
He expressed the hope that the electoral process would further strengthen democratic institutions and contribute to peace, stability and continued progress in Bangladesh.
The President reaffirmed Pakistan’s goodwill and support for the people of Bangladesh and their democratic aspirations.
