PNCA Observes Kashmir Solidarity Day Through Nationwide Cultural Programs

Islamabad, — Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA), under the National Heritage & Culture Division, commemorated Kashmir Solidarity Day through a series of impactful cultural, artistic, and awareness-based activities, reaffirming Pakistan’s unwavering moral, political, and diplomatic support for the just struggle of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and their right to live with dignity, peace, and self-determination.

The commemorative program prominently featured the staging of the powerful theatrical production
Laho Rang-e-Kashmir,
a deeply moving play portraying the human cost of the prolonged conflict. Through compelling performances, emotionally resonant dialogue, and carefully crafted visual storytelling, the play highlighted the sacrifices, resilience, and steadfast courage of the Kashmiri people across generations. It depicted the social, humanitarian, and emotional dimensions of the conflict, while emphasizing the universal values of humanity, justice, compassion, and the collective hope for a peaceful and lasting resolution. The production received strong appreciation from the audience for its artistic depth and its thoughtful portrayal of the enduring spirit and aspirations of the Kashmiri people.

As part of the day’s activities, PNCA also presented a special puppet show titled Khwab To Kaise Cheene Ga, creatively depicting the historical and humanitarian challenges faced by the Kashmiri people since 1947. Through expressive puppetry, symbolic narratives, and engaging performances, the show conveyed messages of resilience, the importance of education, and the preservation of identity and cultural heritage, particularly for younger audiences.

A photo exhibition illustrating the experiences and struggles of the Kashmiri people, along with a documentary screening on Kashmir, was also organized at PNCA. A large number of visitors, including families, students, and children, attended the exhibition and documentary screenings, showing keen interest in the visual presentations that aimed to raise awareness and promote empathy and understanding.

Through these diverse activities, PNCA once again demonstrated its commitment to using art and culture as powerful mediums for awareness, dialogue, and solidarity, while echoing Pakistan’s continued support for peaceful efforts that lead to justice, stability, and prosperity for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
