APO–NPO Workshop on Human Capital Management in SMEs Concludes
Karachi : Four-day International Workshop on Human Capital Management in Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), jointly organized by the National Productivity Organization (NPO), Pakistan, in collaboration with the Asian Productivity Organization (APO), Japan, successfully concluded.
The Closing Session marked the formal conclusion of the workshop, which brought together policymakers, productivity practitioners, industry representatives, and international participants to deliberate on strategies for strengthening human capital practices in SMEs.
During the session, a Vote of Thanks on behalf of the participants was presented by Dr. Anthony Cinco Sales from the Philippines, who expressed appreciation to NPO Pakistan, APO Japan, resource persons, and organizers for the well-structured program and valuable learning opportunities.
Delivering the Closing Remarks on behalf of NPO Pakistan, Muhammad Alamgir Chaudhry, Chief Executive Officer, NPO Pakistan, highlighted the importance of effective human capital management in enhancing SME competitiveness and productivity. He reaffirmed NPO’s commitment to supporting SMEs through capacity-building initiatives, policy support, and continued collaboration with APO.
Following the CEO’s remarks, Sahibzadi Maheen Khan, Member, Board of Directors, NPO Pakistan, presented a Vote of Thanks on behalf of NPO Pakistan, acknowledging the valuable support of APO Japan, the Chief Guest, resource persons, participants, and the organizing team for the successful conduct of the workshop.
The Chief Guest, Muhammad Rehan Hanif, President, Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI), in his closing remarks, emphasized the critical role of skilled and motivated human capital in sustaining industrial growth. He appreciated the initiative and stressed the need for closer collaboration between productivity organizations and the private sector to translate learning into practical outcomes.
