
Federal Minister Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh Attends Luncheon Hosted by Rwanda High Commission
Islamabad :- Federal Minister for Board of Investment (BOI), Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh, attended a luncheon hosted by the High Commission of the Republic of Rwanda in Islamabad as Chief Guest.
The luncheon was held in connection with exploring business, trade and investment opportunities between Pakistan and Rwanda. Prudence Sebahizi, Minister of Trade and Industry of Rwanda, who is currently on an official visit to Pakistan, was also present on the occasion.
Federal Minister warmly welcomed the visiting Rwandan Trade Minister and appreciated the proactive role of the Rwanda High Commission in facilitating closer economic engagement between the two countries. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to enhance bilateral trade, investment cooperation and private sector linkages.

Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh appreciated the investment-friendly environment and emerging opportunities in Rwanda, noting that Pakistan is also undertaking similar regulatory and policy reforms to facilitate investors, improve ease of doing business and promote sustainable economic growth.
The Federal Minister briefed the Rwandan delegation and business participants on Pakistan’s Special Economic Zones (SEZs), offering sector-specific incentives, modern infrastructure and investor facilitation. He also highlighted the role of the Business Facilitation Centre (BFC) as a single-window platform providing end-to-end services to local and foreign investors.
The event was attended by notable members of the business community, reflecting strong private sector interest in expanding Pakistan–Rwanda economic ties.
Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh extended a formal invitation to the Minister of Trade and Industry of Rwanda to visit the Board of Investment, Pakistan, for further engagement and institutional collaboration.
The Rwanda side was represented by Harerimana Fatou, High Commissioner of Rwanda to Pakistan; Prudence Sebahizi, Minister of Trade and Industry of Rwanda; Ms. Doreen Ntawebasa, Director General (Trade and Industry), NAEB; and Claude Bizimana, CEO, NAEB.
