Pakistani scholar awarded doctorate in Metal 3D Printing in Norway

TRONDHEIM, NORWAY :– Muhammad Ibrahim, a distinguished scholar from Pakistan, has successfully defended his PhD thesis on the topic of Additive Manufacturing of Silicon based alloys at University of Agder, Kristiansand in close collaboration with the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim. This achievement marks a significant milestone in Ibrahim’s academic career and contributes a vital piece of research to the global scientific community’s understanding of nanotechnology.

Ibrahim’s doctoral research focused on the intricate application of 3D printing silicon based alloys, pushing the boundaries of how this technology can be utilized in modern industry. His defense was conducted before a panel of international experts, who lauded the depth of his experimentation and the practical implications of his findings.

“Conducting my research within a consortium of universities and research is an honor,” said Dr. Ibrahim. “I look forward to applying this knowledge to foster innovation and potentially collaborate on technological advancements that benefit both Pakistan and the global scientific landscape.”

The successful defense adds to the growing list of Pakistani researchers making their mark in high-tech fields abroad. Dr. Ibrahim plans to continue his work in research and development, focusing on the scalable integration metal 3D printing technology at industrial level.
