PEC Interdepartmental Table Tennis Tournament 2026 Inaugurated

Islamabad: Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) has inaugurated the PEC Interdepartmental Table Tennis Tournament 2026 as part of its Golden Jubilee celebrations marking 50 Years of Excellence. The inauguration ceremony was held at PEC Headquarters and was attended by Registrar PEC Engr. Khadim Hussain Bhatti, Vice Chairman PEC Punjab Dr. Sohail Aftab Qureshi, Vice Chairman PEC Sindh Engr. Mukhtiar Sheikh, and Members of the Governing Body including Dr. Hafsa Jamshed, Dr. Ijaz Bashir Janjua, Dr. Inayatullah Babar, Dr. Mansoor Baloch, Dr. Pradeep Kumar, Engr. Abid Shah, along with senior officials of PEC.

Speaking on the occasion, Registrar PEC Engr. Khadim Hussain Bhatti said that the interdepartmental table tennis tournament reflects PEC’s commitment to promoting a healthy and engaging work environment. He stated that male and female teams from different PEC departments are actively participating, demonstrating inclusivity and equal opportunities. He added that the tournament is being organized in line with the vision of Chairman PEC Engr. Waseem Nazir, which emphasizes employee wellbeing, engagement, and a positive organizational culture.

Vice Chairman PEC Punjab Dr. Sohail Aftab Qureshi and Vice Chairman PEC Sindh Engr. Mukhtiar Sheikh said that sports activities are essential for promoting physical fitness, teamwork, and discipline among employees, and such initiatives help strengthen inter-departmental harmony and foster a healthy work-life balance within PEC.

Members of the PEC Governing Body including Dr. Hafsa Jamshed, Dr. Ijaz Bashir Janjua, Dr. Inayatullah Babar, Dr. Mansoor Baloch, Dr. Pradeep Kumar, and Engr. Abid Shah stated that the tournament reflects PEC’s commitment to employee wellbeing and engagement. Organized by the PEC Sports Organizing Team under the slogan “Play United, Win Together,” the first-ever interdepartmental table tennis tournament aims to promote sportsmanship, unity, and a vibrant organizational culture during the Golden Jubilee celebrations.
