Education, Technology and Business Community Key to Investment-Led Growth,  Qaiser Sheikh

Karachi :   Federal Minister for the Board of Investment, Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh, attended the fundraising ceremony of the Chinioti Shaikh Society, Karachi, as Chief Guest, where he underscored the critical role of education, skills development, and small enterprises in achieving sustainable economic growth and poverty alleviation.

Federal Minister stated that no nation can eliminate poverty without modern education and advanced technology. He highlighted China’s development trajectory as a leading global example, noting that strategic investment in education and technology has enabled China to lift millions out of poverty and attract large-scale investment.

Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh emphasized that economic development and investment promotion are not solely the responsibility of governments. He stressed that the business community and organized communities play a pivotal role in social welfare, employment generation, and entrepreneurial growth. He appreciated the contributions of the Chinioti Shaikh community in promoting education, skills training, and small enterprise development.

Federal Minister further stated that investment in Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) is essential for broad-based economic growth, as SMEs create employment opportunities and strengthen the national economy at the grassroots level.

Highlighting ongoing reforms, he noted that the Government of Pakistan, through the Board of Investment, is actively working to improve the ease of doing business by introducing regulatory reforms, including the Business Facilitation Centers (BFCs), to provide investors with streamlined, transparent, and one-window services.

Reaffirming the government’s commitment, Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh stated that the Board of Investment remains fully committed to facilitating domestic and foreign investment, fostering a business-friendly environment, and supporting initiatives that promote education, skills development, and inclusive economic growth across Pakistan.
