
Islamabad:- Dr. Oumer Hussein Oba, Ambassador-designate of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, hosted Zaki Aijaz, Regional Chairman and Vice President of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI), at the Ethiopian Embassy.
They discussed matters of mutual interest and explored various avenues of cooperation to further strengthen bilateral trade relations.
Ambassador Dr. Oumer H. Oba briefed the Vice President on the Ethiopian Government’s economic liberalization efforts, which have significantly attracted foreign direct investment to Ethiopia.
Highlighting the competitive advantages for Pakistani investors, the Ambassador urged the FPCCI to mobilize a high-level delegation for the 4th edition of the “Invest in Ethiopia 2026: High-level Business Forum,” scheduled for March 26–27, 2026, in Addis Ababa.
Zaki Aijaz commended Ethiopia’s economic progress and assured the Ambassador of his full support in encouraging the Pakistani business community to participate in the forum.
