
RDA to Establish Modern Multi Storey Hospital in Sherpao Colony, DG RDA
RAWALPINDI: The Director General, Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA), Kinza Murtaza, visited Sherpao Colony and issued special directives regarding various ongoing and proposed developmental, planning, and administrative matters aimed at improving public facilities and urban infrastructure.
During the visit, the DG RDA directed the Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering Directorate and the Estate Management Directorate RDA to take immediate and concrete steps for the construction of a modern, multi storey hospital equipped with state of the art medical facilities on RDA’s four kanal government land in Sherpao Colony. She also issued clear instructions for the immediate removal of encroachments established in Sherpao Colony and directed that legal notices be issued to the responsible individuals without delay.
The Director General RDA also inspected the site of the “Sunday Bazaar” in Sherpao Colony and instructed the concerned officers to beautify the area by installing Tuff Tiles, improving pedestrian pathways, and providing adequate parking facilities to facilitate the convenience of the general public and traders.
Speaking on the occasion, the DG RDA, Kinza Murtaza reiterated that indiscriminate operations against encroachments will continue across the city and that illegal occupation of government land will not be tolerated under any circumstances. She appealed to the general public to comply with the law, cooperate with authorities, and refrain from illegal constructions and encroachments.
She further stated that coordinated and sustainable measures are being taken to protect the city’s beauty, ensure planned development, and improve civic facilities. The DG RDA emphasized that RDA is utilizing all available resources to make Rawalpindi a clean, safe, well organized, and citizen friendly city, and no negligence or laxity in this regard will be tolerated.
On this occasion, the Director Estate Management Aabgeena Khan, Deputy Director Estate Management Masood Arshad, Deputy Director Public Relations Hafiz Muhammad Irfan, Building Superintendent Arsalan Shaukat, Admin Officer Habib ur Rehman, Building Inspector Mukhtar Ahmed, along with other relevant officials were also present.
