Islamabad : Chairman Senate Pays Tribute to Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto on His 98th Birth Anniversary
Chairman Senate of Pakistan, Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, on the occasion of the 98th birth anniversary of the Founder of Pakistan Peoples Party and former Prime Minister, Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, extended heartfelt congratulations to the entire nation and said that the multifaceted services of Shaheed Bhutto constitute a glorious chapter in Pakistan’s national history, which the nation continues to cherish with pride.
The Chairman Senate stated that Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto rendered unforgettable services for the promotion of democracy, protection of human rights, and supremacy of the people. Under his visionary leadership, the nation was gifted with the unanimous Constitution of Pakistan, which provided strong foundations to the federation and ensured the protection of fundamental rights of citizens. He further said that Shaheed Bhutto’s effective strategy to strengthen national defense and his historic decision to lay the foundation of Pakistan’s nuclear program proved to be a guarantee of national security, enabling Pakistan today to respond decisively to any external aggression.
