Dawn of 2026 brings renewed hope and wellbeing for people of Pakistan, Gilani

Chairman Senate New Year 2026 Message to the Nation

Islamabad : Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, has extended his heartfelt greetings to the nation on the eve of the New Year (2026). He expressed the hope and prayer that the coming year will bring peace, progress, and prosperity to Pakistan and the entire world.

” The dawn of 2026 brings renewed hope, stability, and wellbeing for the people of Pakistan as well as for oppressed and marginalized communities across the globe”,, Gilani observed. He noted that the beginning of a new year offers an opportunity to bring positive change in our individual and collective lives and to work together for a brighter, more peaceful future.
Reflecting on the challenges faced by the world during 2025, including economic difficulties, political instability, security concerns, and terrorism, Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani expressed the hope that the New Year will mark the beginning of an end to hunger, poverty, war, terrorism, extremism, sectarianism, and social divisions. He emphasized that the promotion of mutual respect, tolerance, and cooperation at the global level is essential for ensuring lasting peace and prosperity.
The Chairman Senate stressed that at the start of the New Year, the nation should collectively seek Allah Almighty’s blessings for peace, stability, and prosperity in the country. He underlined that national unity, harmony, and collective efforts are vital to making Pakistan a hub of progress, peace, and development. He further stated that sustainable solutions to global conflicts can only be achieved through dialogue and diplomacy, while combating terrorism requires a coordinated and collective international strategy.
In his concluding remarks, Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani urged the nation to reaffirm its commitment, at the beginning of the New Year, to work tirelessly for the development and progress of Pakistan in accordance with the vision of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Allama Muhammad Iqbal.
