Govt pledges meaningful opportunities for youth developmen, Rana

Chairman PMYP at opening ceremony of International MOIC Summit 2025

Islamabad: – Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Program (PMYP), Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, addressed the opening ceremony of the International MOIC Summit Pakistan 2025 held at HEC, highlighting the government’s unwavering commitment to empowering youth and creating meaningful opportunities for their growth and development. The ceremony was also attended by the President of the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (ICYF), HEC Representative and Youth of Pakistan.
During his address, Rana Mashhood recalled his tenure in Punjab, where under the leadership of then Chief Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Pakistan’s first-ever National Youth Policy was launched for the first time. He highlighted that this policy laid the foundation for providing young people with structured pathways for personal, academic, and professional development, and that the federal government is now building upon this landmark initiative to further empower youth across the country.
He emphasized that investment in youth remains a top national priority, with a focus on enhancing access to quality education, skill development programs, and employment opportunities that prepare the next generation of leaders to compete both nationally and internationally.
Under the PMYP, a range of 4Es; Education, Engagement, Employment and Environment, initiatives including scholarships and other support programs aims to provide talented youth from across the country with the resources and guidance they need to succeed. The Chairman further emphasized that all initiatives are grounded in merit and equal opportunity, fostering a fair and inclusive environment where young Pakistanis can thrive based on their talent, dedication, and potential.

Rana Mashhood described international platforms such as the MOIC Summit as highly effective avenues for emerging youth leadership, allowing young innovators, entrepreneurs, and professionals to exchange ideas, collaborate with global partners, and contribute to sustainable development. He also announced that Pakistan will soon introduce its first ever National E-Sports Policy, aimed at expanding opportunities for youth engagement in the rapidly growing digital and gaming industries, further diversifying career pathways for young Pakistanis.
Speaking on the occasion, the President of the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (ICYF) praised Pakistan’s youth-focused vision and stated that Pakistan’s initiatives reflect a strong commitment to innovation, inclusion, and leadership development. He noted that forums like the MOIC Summit play a critical role in empowering young people to shape the future through collaboration and shared purpose.
The International MOIC Summit Pakistan 2025 brings together young leaders, policymakers, subject-matter experts, and international partners to deliberate on key issues including youth development, innovation, entrepreneurship, and global collaboration. The summit provides a dynamic platform for participants to showcase innovative solutions, share best practices, and contribute to shaping policies that empower Pakistan’s youth.
