KSrelief wraps up first phase of its livestock empowerment project in Pakistan

Islamabad : King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) has successfully completed the First Phase of the “Economic Empowerment of Vulnerable Households in Pakistan through Livestock Provision Project” Under this phase, 1,000 beneficiary households from Lower Chitral, Upper Chitral, Lower Dir, and Upper Dir, received a livelihood support package consisting of two vaccinated goats, four bags of silage, and training provided by the Livestock Department to enable sustainable livestock-based income generation.

The first phase, implemented by Peach and Development Organization in collaboration with the Relief, Rehabilitation and Settlement Department (RRSD), PDMA Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, aims to strengthen economic resilience and improve food security for vulnerable households across four (04) districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and 7,250 individuals were benefited from phase one. A total of 7,250 individuals benefited from this phase.

As the initiative moves forward, KSrelief is planning Phase 2 and Phase 3 of the project. These upcoming phases will focus on supporting vulnerable households in Swat, Swabi, Haripur, and Mansehra with poultry packages, including 25 poultry birds per family along with a complete poultry kit and training on poultry management and income generation. Additionally, families in Charsadda, Mardan, and Nowshera will be assisted with cattle, silage, and hands-on training in animal care and dairy production to strengthen their livelihood opportunities.

Through these phased interventions, the project continues to promote self-reliance, improved nutrition, and long-term economic stability, reflecting KSrelief’s commitment to empowering vulnerable communities across Pakistan.
