Pakistan increasingly recognized as a reliable seafood supplier to Malaysia

VISIT OF HIS EXCELLENCY THE HIGH COMMISSIONER OF MALAYSIA TO MUKHI NOORDIN & SONS (MNS) SEAFOOD FACTORY,

KARACHI : The visit of His Excellency the High Commissioner of Malaysia to Karachi in conjunction with the Pakistan International Maritime Expo and Conference (PIMEC) 2025 was strategically utilized by the Consulate General of Malaysia in Karachi through the arrangement of a factory visit to Mukhi Noordin & Sons (MNS) Seafood. The objective of the visit was to further strengthen Malaysia–Pakistan economic cooperation, particularly in the fisheries and food trade sectors, which continue to demonstrate promising growth potential.

Mukhi Noordin & Sons (MNS) Seafood is among Pakistan’s leading seafood exporters, supplying frozen seafood to Asia, the Middle East and Europe. The company maintains a strong commercial relationship with Malaysia through its principal importer, NSK Trade City, which operates 17 supermarkets nationwide. This partnership highlights the effectiveness of direct business linkages between Malaysian retail distribution networks and Pakistani producers.
During the recent visit of the Prime Minister of Pakistan to Malaysia in early October 2025, MNS signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) worth USD 12 million with six Malaysian seafood buyers. The agreement reflects mutual confidence and the growing recognition of Pakistan as a reliable seafood supplier to Malaysia.

During the visit, the High Commissioner and the Consul General were briefed on the company’s operations and its adherence to international food safety and hygiene standards. The factory’s state-of-the-art processing and cold storage facilities meet global export certification requirements. MNS Seafood expressed its desire to further expand its export volume to Malaysia and requested the assistance of the High Commission and Consulate in identifying additional Malaysian importers and distribution partners.
