
Karachi : Pakistan Romania Business Council (PRBC) participated in a significant diplomatic and economic engagement as Romanian Ambassador to Pakistan, Dr. Dan Stoenescu, met with Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah at the CM House. The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral ties between Romania and Sindh, with discussions centered on expanding cooperation across economy, trade, technology, and institutional linkages.
During the meeting, Ambassador Dr. Stoenescu proposed the launch of a Romania–Sindh Economic Dialogue Platform, designed to connect business chambers from both sides and create new channels for collaboration. This initiative aims to deepen economic engagement, explore emerging investment opportunities, and streamline communication between Romanian and Sindh-based business communities.

Representing PRBC, Chairman Sohail Shamim Firpo and Advisor & COO Atif Farooqi joined the delegation, reaffirming PRBC’s commitment to advancing Romania–Pakistan business relations. PRBC highlighted the long-standing diplomatic partnership of over six decades and reiterated its role in facilitating meaningful business-to-business connections and supporting new avenues of cooperation proposed by the Romanian ambassador.
From PRBC’s perspective, the meeting marked a strong step forward in enhancing bilateral economic dialogue and positioning Sindh as a strategic bridge for Romania–Pakistan trade. The Council expressed its full support for the proposed platform and emphasized its readiness to assist in implementing collaborative frameworks that will benefit both economies.
