Govt committed to public welfare and poverty reduction, Shah

Islamabad : Federal Minister for Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety, Syed Imran Ahmed Shah, met with Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf.

During the meeting, both ministers discussed the government’s ongoing welfare initiatives and efforts to reduce poverty across the country.

Syed Imran Ahmed Shah briefed Sardar Muhammad Yousaf on the key welfare programs being implemented under the Ministry. He stated that the Benazir Kafaalat Programme and the Nashonuma Scheme are providing financial and nutritional assistance to millions of deserving families nationwide.

The Minister further highlighted that the Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF) is playing a vital role in promoting economic self-reliance through community-based development projects, while the Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal (PBM) continues to provide financial support to vulnerable households.

Sardar Muhammad Yousaf discussed welfare and assistance activities in his constituency and emphasized the importance of continued collaboration to enhance outreach and effectiveness.

Both ministers agreed to strengthen mutual cooperation in implementing welfare programs and promoting socio-economic uplift at the grassroots level.

Syed Imran Ahmed Shah reaffirmed the government’s commitment to utilizing all available resources for public welfare and poverty reduction, ensuring inclusive growth and social protection for all citizens.
