
Tokyo : Embassy of Pakistan, Tokyo, marked Iqbal Day with a solemn event celebrating the life, philosophy, and legacy of Allama Dr. Muhammad Iqbal.
Ambassador-designate Abdul Hameed paid tribute to Iqbal’s message of Khudi and intellectual awakening.
Distinguished scholars from Japan, Pakistan, and abroad — including Professor Kataoka Hiroji (Tamgha-e-Imtiaz) — shared insights on Iqbal’s vision and its global relevance.
Students from Japanese universities and the Pakistani community also participated, reflecting the enduring cultural and intellectual bridge between Pakistan and Japan.
The event concluded with appreciation for Iqbal’s timeless poetry and a reaffirmation of the shared commitment to friendship and understanding between the two nations.
