Pak-Iran share a firm commitment to peace and Muslim unity, PM

Dr. Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Speaker of Iranian Parliament calls on Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif

Islamabad :  Speaker of the Parliament, the Islamic Consultative Assembly, of Islamic Republic of Iran,  Dr. Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf along with delegation calls on Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif warmly welcomed the delegation and recalled the cordial bilateral ties with the brotherly Muslim country of Iran. PM reiterated firm commitment of both countries for peaceful means of dialogue and diplomacy for resolution of all outstanding disputes around the world.
PM extended utmost reverence to His Eminence, Supreme Leader of Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and President Masoud Pazeshkian.
PM stated that both countries condemn state sponsored terrorism and have always supported each other in the wake of unilateral aggression against their sovereign states. PM added that both countries have unfortunately been victim of terrorism and thus firmly share the resolve of global peace, prosperity and positive cooperation in the region.


Pakistan and Iran are determined to work in cohesion and cooperation for unity of Muslim Ummah.
PM expressed that Pakistan is eager to foster cooperation in the fields of mutual interest including   economic development and bilateral trade.

Speaker of Iranian Parliament Dr. Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister, Government and People of Pakistan for their valued and well-placed support in the recent Iran- Israel conflict. He stated that the support shown by Pakistan in the 12-day war is deeply appreciated and cherished by the people of Iran. He stated Iran and Pakistan firmly believe in the unity of Muslim Ummah and in the message of global peace.
While expressing special gratitude to the Speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq, the Iranian speaker cherished the positive and robust cooperation between the parliaments of both countries.
He also expressed Iran’s commitment to further enhance bilateral cooperation with Pakistan in the fields of economic development and trade. The Iranian Speaker conveyed message of warmth and reverence from Iranian President Masoud Pazeshkian for Prime Minister and people of Pakistan. He also expressed gratitude for a warm hospitality extended to him during his visit to Pakistan.
Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, and Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs, Syed Tariq Fatemi also attended the meeting.
