FIFA to support football programs for player development in Pakistan

Sheikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa FIFA Senior Vice President Visits Pakistan

Islamabad:— Senior Vice President of the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), Sheikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa, has arrived in Pakistan on the special invitation of Chairman Prime Minister’s Youth Programme (PMYP) Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan.
The visit marks an important step towards strengthening international collaboration in youth and sports development. On the directions of the Chairman Prime Minister’s Youth Programme (PMYP), Syeda Amnah Batool, Member National Assembly & Focal Person of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, welcomed the FIFA official upon his arrival at Islamabad International Airport.
During the visit, discussions are expected to focus on exploring avenues of cooperation in sports infrastructure development, football promotion, and youth capacity-building. The engagements aim to outline practical strategies to enhance the participation of young Pakistanis in international sports and to create structured pathways for nurturing talent at the grassroots level.
The visit reflects the Government of Pakistan’s commitment to providing modern facilities and professional platforms for youth engagement through sports. Under the guidance of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, efforts are being made to introduce new projects that encourage participation, discipline, and excellence in multiple sporting disciplines.


Collaboration with FIFA is expected to support the establishment of technical training centers, youth academies, and community-level football programs that will create long-term pathways for players, coaches, and sports professionals. These initiatives align with the broader vision of empowering Pakistan’s youth through education, innovation, and sports participation.
The arrival of FIFA Senior Vice President Sheikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa is viewed as a milestone in promoting international cooperation and fostering positive partnerships for sports development in Pakistan. The visit also highlights the growing recognition of Pakistan’s potential as an emerging center for youth and sports excellence in the region.
