
Dhaka : Ali Pervaiz Malik, Minister for Petroleum met with Md. Touhid Hossain, Adviser on Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh. The Minister apprised the Adviser about outcomes of the Joint Economic Commission (JEC). Both sides expressed satisfaction over the resumption of meetings of the institutional mechanisms. It was also agreed to further explore the opportunities of collaboration in a range of areas including connectivity, energy and natural resources. The Adviser emphasised the importance of resuming direct flights between Pakistan and Bangladesh. Malik thanked Hossain for the warm hospitality extended to him and his delegation during the visit.
Ali Pervaiz Malik, Minister for Petroleum had a meeting with SK Bashir Uddin, Adviser on Commerce and discussed areas of collaboration such as trade, investment, aviation and energy. The Minister also briefed the Adviser about outcomes of the Joint Economic Commission (JEC).
Minister for Petroleum, Ali Pervaiz Malik, in a separate meeting met with Adviser on Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Muhammad Fauzul Kabir Khan. The proposals of cooperation in energy, mineral resources and geological exploration were discussed.
