A training and research center is also being established at the nursery where new plant varieties will be developed using modern propagation techniques. Furthermore, a dedicated area has been allocated for the display of colorful flowers.

Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa remarked that the Model Nursery has been developed as a state-of-the-art facility meeting international standards. He added that CDA Environment Wing employees will receive special training for plant care and protection.
He emphasized that the primary objective of upgrading the CDA Nursery is to establish Islamabad as a key center for horticulture. The transformation of the Model Nursery into the “Gardenia Hub,” he added, is a significant step toward making Islamabad greener, more vibrant, and more beautiful.
