
Speaker National Assembly congratulates scientists, engineers, and the nation on the successful launch of Pakistan’s first hyperspectral satellite (HS-1)
Islamabad,: Speaker National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has extended heartfelt congratulations to the scientists, engineers, staff of SUPARCO, and the entire nation on the successful launch of Pakistan’s first hyperspectral satellite (HS-1). He said that the successful launch of the HS-1 mission marks a historic milestone in Pakistan’s space research program and represents a remarkable step forward in the country’s journey towards scientific and technological self-reliance.
Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq commended the hard work, vision, and creativity of SUPARCO’s scientists and engineers, stating that they have brought pride and honor to the nation. He added that the HS-1 satellite will play a transformative role in the fields of agriculture, environmental sustainability, water resource management, and urban planning.
Speaker NA further said that this advanced satellite will assist in monitoring crop health, soil moisture, forest changes, and natural disasters in real time, an important step toward achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). He also stated that this achievement will serve as an inspiration and motivation for Pakistan’s youth to pursue excellence in research, technology, and innovation.
Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq noted that SUPARCO’s historic accomplishment demonstrates the capability of Pakistan’s scientific community to conduct research and development at international standards. He reaffirmed that the Parliament will continue to support the promotion of science and technology, the advancement of space research, and the strengthening of institutional collaboration.
