Rawalpindi : According to initial reports, Pakistan carried out targeted strikes against militant camps belonging to the Hafiz Gul Bahadur Group located along the North and South Waziristan border region inside Afghanistan.
Security sources indicate that the group had attempted multiple cross-border attacks into Pakistan over the past 48 hours, all of which were effectively repelled by Pakistani forces. During these engagements, more than 100 militants were reportedly killed.
Earlier today, members of the Gul Bahadur Group allegedly carried out a vehicle-borne IED attack in North Waziristan, resulting in the martyrdom of one Pakistani soldier and injuries to several others.
In response, precision strikes targeted the group’s leadership and operational camps, with intelligence reports suggesting that 60–70 militants, including senior commanders, were neutralized.
