Swat University awards merit scholarships to 490 students

Peshawar : University of Swat organized a Merit Scholarships Award Ceremony to honor outstanding students who secured top positions in their respective classes during the period from Fall 2022 to Spring 2024.

The ceremony was held under the gracious chairmanship of the Honorable Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Hassan Sher, who served as the Chief Guest. In total, 490 meritorious students were awarded scholarships amounting to Rs. 5,460,000 in recognition of their academic excellence and dedication.

Prof. Dr. Hassan Sher, in his address, congratulated the recipients and praised their hard work, perseverance, and commitment to learning. He emphasized that such achievements reflect the academic strength and integrity of the University of Swat. The Vice Chancellor further reiterated his vision to promote merit-based culture, academic excellence, and opportunities for deserving students.

He also appreciated the efforts of Dr. Umar Hayat, Director Financial Aid Office and the concerned departments for maintaining transparency and efficiency in the scholarship evaluation and disbursement process. His visionary leadership continues to inspire both faculty and students to strive for excellence in education and research.

The ceremony concluded with expressions of gratitude to the Vice Chancellor for his constant encouragement and unwavering support for student welfare and academic advancement.
