
Islamabad — 2nd RISJA Inter Media Cricket Tournament continued at the National Cricket Ground, Islamabad, with thrilling contests. RISJA and CDA emerged victorious in their respective matches after exciting performances.
In the Group B clash, RISJA, opting to bat first, posted 170-3 in 15 overs. Opener Kashif Majeed played a blistering knock of 103 not out off just 46 balls, while Ahmed Nawaz contributed 31 runs. In reply, ARY News fought valiantly as Kashif Abbasi scored 95 and Tariq made 41, but the team fell short, finishing on 164-3. RISJA won the match by 6 runs, with Kashif Majeed declared Player of the Match.
In the Group A fixture, CDA batted first and scored 150-7 in 15 overs, with Irfan making 32 and Malik Atta scoring 23. Chasing the target, 92 News collapsed under pressure and were bowled out for 69 runs in 11 overs. Faisal Satti’s brilliant bowling spell dismantled the opposition and earned him the Player of the Match award. CDA won comprehensively by 81 runs.
