
Islamabad :Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has hailed Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif’s address to the 80th United Nations General Assembly as a historic, bold and statesmanlike speech.
The Speaker said the Prime Minister began with the Holy Qur’anic recitation, sending a message of peace, brotherhood, and interfaith harmony, while voicing the aspirations of the Muslim Ummah and urging the world to confront global challenges with unity and foresight.
He lauded the Prime Minister’s firm stance on Palestine, condemnation of Israeli aggression, and demand for urgent international action, stressing that regional peace requires an end to Israeli atrocities.
The Speaker said that the Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif exposed India’s false propaganda, highlighted the attack on Pakistan and martyrdom of innocent children, and drew attention to human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir.
The Speaker underlined the Prime Minister’s emphasis on Pakistan’s sovereignty, success of Operation Banyan-ul-Marsous, sacrifices of 90,000 lives in the war on terror, and resolve to continue the fight against terrorism, including cross-border threats.
He said the Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has sensitized the world to climate disasters, particularly Pakistan’s devastating floods, and called for climate justice, while also presenting Pakistan’s roadmap for economic revival and development.
The Speaker also said that the Prime Minister’s address was a comprehensive message for Pakistan, the Muslim Ummah, and global peace — one that will be remembered in history.
