Federal Minister Meets Korean Delegation to Advance Peace and Development

Islamabad : Federal Minister for Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety, Syed Imran Ahmed Shah met with a delegation of the Korean organization Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL) at the Ministry of Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety. The delegation was led by Kim Joonyun, Chief Branch Manager, Global10 Branch.

Discussions focused on the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War presented by HWPL. The delegation shed light on their global mission for peace and humanitarian service, including relief activities in flood-affected areas. HWPL, an international NGO working for world peace with a consultative relationship with the UN Department of Global Communications and ECOSOC, also voiced deep concern over the ongoing humanitarian crises in Kashmir, Palestine, and Ukraine.

In this context, the Federal Minister apprised the delegation that Pakistan has sacrificed thousands of lives in the war on terror. He underscored that the Prime Minister and national leadership are committed to steering the country toward sustainable peace and development. He also paid tribute to Pakistan’s armed forces and citizens for their firm resolve in countering India’s provocations and safeguarding national sovereignty.

Highlighting ongoing flood relief operations in Punjab, the Minister stated that under the Ministry of Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety, multiple initiatives are underway to ensure timely distribution of relief packages to affected families. He added that the Government of Punjab is also actively engaged in the rehabilitation of flood victims.

On the occasion, Hamid Hameed (former Minister of State) and Naveed Aamir Jeeva (Member National Assembly) were also present. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation for the promotion of global peace, humanitarian service, and social safety, ensuring that dialogue and mutual understanding continue to pave the way for a more peaceful world.
